Over a year!

Apparently life has been moving at warp speed because I haven't posted anything in over a year! Mae is a happy, thriving almost two year old, we can barely keep up with her! She went from crawling to running in little less than a week and has a vast vocabulary, due in fact that she repeats most of what we say! We really have to watch our language!
Life is great at the moment. Eric is in his third semester of grad school, he will be half way done this summer...yay!! I took a full time position at the Lafayette YMCA as Membership Director at the beginning of this year. It has been a transition for all three of us, but I really like my job and Mae continues to adjust to being in full time day care....the good news is that she is right down the hall from my office so if I need to be there it only take 10 seconds!
Hopefully I will be better about posting this year than I was last year, I leave you with pictures of my beautiful baby girl, who now informs me she is a BIG GIRL!

And a few more...

A few pictures to go with the updates....

So many updates....

Well A LOT has happened since my last post! We have finally made the move to West Lafayette from Indianapolis and are almost done unpacking. So far everyone has been very nice and Mae and I are really enjoying Eric being so close to home, his commute went from 1 1/2 hours one way down to 5 minutes, we even get to see him for lunch! Needless to say we are all very happy he works so close to home now. Louie is enjoying more space and is hoping for a fenced in yard when it warms up in the spring, but for now he will just have to settle staring at the cats and squirrels from the patio door.

Eric will be starting his MBA program in a few weeks so that means less time at home on the weekends, but we can push through knowing we will all be better off when he is finished!

Mae turned 9 months on Christmas day and is doing great! At her nine month check-up she weighed 17.05 ilbs (25th percentile) and was 28 1/4 inches tall (75th percentile). The doctor continues to praise her and says we are doing a great job. The biggest news is that she has become more mobile over the past few weeks and we can hardly keep up with her! She went from just making it around by army crawling to quickly crawling around the house and LOVES to stand, she has even began to "cruise" the furniture and her toys and insiders say she is going to be an early walker. It is so very hard to believe that she will be one in less than three months because I still feel like we just left the hospital with her as a tiny baby, I well up with tears even thinking about it! But we are so very proud of her as she continues to thrive and be a happy baby!

I am going to be taking some time off to spend with Mae while Eric is working and going to school, but you never know what can fall into your lap.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that 2010 brings happiness!

Happy Halloween!

We were in Crystal Lake for Halloween this year, we went to the Purdue/Wisconsin game in the early afternoon and then took Mae trick or treating with her cousin Genevieve at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mae was a monkey and Super G was a lion. We only made it to a few houses because our little monkey fell fast asleep in her stroller, but I'm sure she had a good time even though we ate ALL her candy!

On a side note, the game was NOT FUN! It was super cold, Purdue scored 0 points and the fans at Camp Randall let us have it. But, we can cross it off our list of Big Ten stadiums and hopefully the next one we visit we will see the Boilers actually win a game!

Good Bye Indianapolis!

After a long 15 months, we finally said Good-Bye to our house on Valley Trace Ct! It was a bit bittersweet because it was our first home and we have so many memories there, but it will be well worth it to have Eric so close to home. His new commute will only be 10 minutes, round trip. FYI, his old commute was 3 hours round trip!! Thanks to Steve and Josh for helping us move our house!
